Kolor Korrect, LLC, first began doing business as Mopaint, the premier provider of factory-matched original paint color for Mopar restoration muscle cars.
Originally, Mopaint produced paint colors based only on Chrysler Corporation’s original paint formulas as used on cars produced in the factory.
With an extensive library of formulas for colors that Chrysler offered from 1960 to late 1970, we were able to reproduce the identical color used when the vehicle rolled out of the showroom. Precision color and correct finishes for different parts have always been the goal of Mopaint/Kolor Korrect. Focusing on interior color, Mopaint produced color that restored parts to their original look.
Recognizing the need for replicating exterior color as well, Mopaint went to work on duplicating exterior, engine, argent, and all colors needed to truly restore Mopar muscle cars.
With the ability to custom match and decode VIN tags and build sheets, Mopaint was able to match color according to factory originality as well as reproduction vinyl interior. By providing a small piece of color from the car, Mopaint produced a custom match to provide the exact paint color.
Now supplying color for all classic car restoration, not only Mopar muscle cars.
It was not too long before other muscle car enthusiasts discovered Mopaint’s unique ability to offer products required to restore cars to their originality.
Mopaint changed its name to Kolor Korrect to encompass the needs of the broader market. Although the name has changed, the services not only remain but exceed those first offered.
As Kolor Korrect, the company continues as a leader in reproduction color, producing paint color for most vehicles introduced in the ’60s through the late 1970s, including but not limited to Chrysler, Buick, Olds, Chevy, Pontiac, AMC, and Ford. We continue to pride ourselves on the capability to custom match allowing us to meet the needs of our customers.
